An Intrinsic Trait is, as the name suggests, an inherent part of a weapon and cannot be swapped out. Different Intrinsic Traits define the archetype of a weapon, which includes base impact and rate of fire, and are useful in determining what weapon is best for a given playstyle at a glance.
A well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy, allowing for great recoil control and handling.
Weapons with this trait have no issues with stability or range. Good rate of fire.
Predictably vertical recoil direction, allowing for optimal weapon control. Sturdy.
Easier recoil control over longer distances. Decent range stats. Rockets with this trait typically have Lock-On Tracking.
Slow-firing and high-damage. More accurate while crouched and aiming the weapon.
Weapons with this trait typically have a longer range but low stability. Use a Counterbalance mod.
Deeper ammo reserves (increased ammo capacity). Slightly faster reload when the magazine is empty.
Generally have a high rate of fire. Best suited for close to medium range. All weapons with this trait are full-auto.
High-damage weapons but high recoil.
Slower firing with low stability, but hits hard and precise if aimed properly. Pulse Rifles and Sidearms fire an extra bullet in a burst. Fusion Rifles fire horizontally.
Excellent handling (weapon ready speed). Move faster while you have this weapon equipped.
Generally have a higher rate of fire. Good movement allows for better combat engagements.
Launch a heavy uppercut attack. Moderate swing speed, charge rate, and impact.
This is the most common type of frame for a sword currently. Swords are excellent weapons for challenging powerful enemies and are very popular amongst Guardians.
Launch a heavy slam attack. While this type of sword has a slow swing speed and charge rate, it does heavy damage.
A very rare frame type that has excellent damage output with a heavy attack that can be effective crowd control.
The two swords with this frame are currently sunset.
Launch a heavy dash attack. This sword type has a quick swing speed and charge rate, allowing for quick attacks.
A very rare frame type that is quick and deadly against rank-and-file combatants and low-grade majors (ex: Vandals)

Launch a heavy projectile attack. Moderate impact and swing speed. Decent damage output.
A sword that launches an electric disk that does good crowd control damage when at full charge. Good range.
Currently only available on Temptation’s Hook.
Launch a heavy spin attack. Highest impact sword type currently available. Optimal swing speed and charge rate.
As the preferred sword frame by Guardians, this sword type does heavy damage against majors and bosses.
Currently only available on Falling Guillotine.
Recurve Bow. Draws quickly and allows quicker movement when the weapon is equipped. Decent accuracy.
Recurve bows have faster draw times with good stability, handling, and nock speed, allowing quick and effective maneuvers while engaged in combat.
Compound Bow. Longer draw time and nock speed, optimized for damage, and long-range accuracy.
Compound bows are slow but have excellent accuracy and optimal damage when precision hits are made.
One-shot Handheld Grenade Launchers. Projectiles release a wave of energy when contacting the ground.
Excellent crowd control and damage radius. Wave Frame Launchers are preferred by Guardians.
An Aggressive Frame modified to have a more uniform pellet spread, allowing farther distance and optimal precision.
Consistent one-hit-kill capability in PvP.
