Understanding Your Weapon

During the Forsaken-era of Destiny 2 (Year 2), Bungie re-introduced random rolls on weapons going forward. That means that weapons that you find out in the wild come with random perks and traits that modify that weapon’s performance beyond its base stats. This allows players to explore a variety of weapon perk combinations and adds diversity to the loot pool.

Sunsetting: Bungie Update (2/25/2021)

  • Any weapon from Season of the Worthy (Season 11) on will NOT have a sunset cap. All currently infusible gear will be able to be infused permanently.
  • Older weapons from Seasons 1 through 12 will need to be reissued to be infusible.

NOTE: This guide features typically sort out mods/perks from top-performing to lowest-performing, based on local feedback. We do encourage all players to try out each perk to see what speaks to them more!
