Everyone has their origin story.
In the early days of Destiny 1 when Guardians were trying to reach the max level cap of 30, the ever-so-mysterious Vault of Glass was the endgame activity that many had pursued.
Clan Founder, xGenophage, was one of those Guardians hoping to conquer the Vault. As for me, I was simply a lone wolf at the time, typically keeping to myself while leveling up to what I was able to get to.
One afternoon, I just happened to match up against xGenophage in a Crucible match at Twilight Gap; we had crossed paths many times that match to which we added each other on Xbox afterward. Skipping ahead a bit, we ended up forming a group not too long after in hopes to complete our first raid. Being persistent and dedicated, we had succeeded, thus forming The Shattered Vault.
For years, it was our daily routine to hop onto Destiny and tackle expansions, raids, Iron Banner – you name it. There are too many memorable moments to list. And even though life has distanced us a bit, we still remain good friends. Destiny and The Shattered Vault made for some amazing moments from 2014 to now – something that I will always cherish.
The Shattered Vault will always live on.
