Learn more about Destiny 2's Seasonal Hub, which includes Vanguard Orders, Vanguard Alerts, Conquests and the Conqueror Seal.

What is the Seasonal Hub?

  • The Seasonal Hub, accessed through the Portal, is a collection of weekly objectives, Bright Dust, Chronologs, and repeatable reward progress.
  • Improved in Destiny 2: Renegades, the Seasonal Hub now contains:
    • Vanguard Orders – a hybrid system that has daily objectives (like bounties) and weekly objectives, as well as a reward track that resets every Tuesday at Weekly Reset.
    • Vanguard Alerts – a set of weekly challenges to complete, be it Fireteam Ops Quickplay, Arena Ops Quickplay, Crucible, a Grandmaster Nightfall, Raid and Dungeon.
    • Conquests – A set of pre-configured activities that test your skills in combat and resolve, that resets every expansion.
    • Seasonal Title – Objectives to complete and unlock the Conqueror Title that resets every expansion.
  • This page goes over each system feature in detail, as well as video guides from content creators!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do Orders Work?
  • Your Active Orders to the left are objectives to complete while you are doing other tasks and they often focus on actions like defeating enemies, using weapons, abilities, or playing a specific activity type.
  • They are also granted automatically upon login so you don’t have to worry about gathering them before you play.
  • Common Orders are often granted based on your character’s current loadout, so completing them should be a natural thing to do as you play.
Do Crucible assists count toward Vanguard Orders?
  • Yes! Any defeats your teammates achieve while you play with them will contribute to these Common Orders.
  • Assist progress is less than individual progress, however.
With Vanguard Orders being introduced, are bounties gone?
  • As of Destiny 2: Renegades, there are still some vendors that offer bounties.
  • Banshee, Failsafe, and Devrim no longer provide bounties but there are still other vendors that offer Daily and Weekly Bounties.
  • Those that remain still grant the rewards they did prior, so if you are so inclined to pay Variks or Petra a visit every now and then for some XP you can still do that.
  • Our Destiny 2 Resource Checklist contains a list of resources for upgrading and bounties for maximum XP gains.
How do Vanguard Alerts work?
  • Vanguard Alerts allow you and your fireteam to complete a range of activities available to players at all skill levels for rewards that will help you progress in the game.
  • Activities include different playlists, the Grandmaster Vanguard Alert, and raids/dungeons.
  • For returning players, Vanguard Alerts should feel similar to the Vanguard Ops playlist and Grandmaster Nightfalls of old.
  • To complete Vanguard Alerts, open the Seasonal Hub and go to the new Vanguard Alerts tab.
Can I play Conquests more than once?
  • Yes! However, the initial reward drop you receive for completing a conquest can only be obtained once.
  • Further rewards will be standard drops.

Vanguard Orders

What are Vanguard Orders?

  • Released in Renegades, this system will be replaced Bounties and Seasonal Challenges with a more approachable set of objectives that rewards players consistently for their time spent in Destiny 2, be it 10 minutes or 2 hours.
    • Note that some bounties still exist on legacy destinations.
  • Your Active Orders to the left are objectives to complete while you are doing other tasks and they often focus on actions like defeating enemies, using weapons, abilities, or playing a specific activity type.
    • They are also granted automatically upon login so you don’t have to worry about gathering them before you play.

Common Orders

  • Common Orders are often granted based on your character’s current loadout, so completing them should be a natural thing to do as you play.
    • Don’t worry: if you don’t like one of your current Orders, you can replace it for a random one of the same tier by spending Glimmer.
    • Keep in mind though, replacing an Order increases that tier’s reroll cost up to a daily maximum.
    • Completing Common Orders reduces the cost of replacing other Common Orders until they’ve reached the default replacement cost.
  • Any defeats your teammates achieve while you play with them will contribute to these Common Orders.
  • In Crucible, a unique bonus will be applied and will automatically complete a few Common Orders for you upon each Crucible Match completion, so you can still feel regularly rewarded for giving it your best.

Legendary and Exotic Orders

  • Completing Orders rewards you with another Order and a Payout that matches the Order’s tier.
  • As you complete activities, play with other Guardians and complete Orders, you’ll be increasing the chances that your completed Orders may upgrade to a higher tier!
  • While higher tier Orders take longer to complete and may present a challenge, they offer greater rewards.
  • A meter is displayed on the Overview page to help convey your chance of a Common Order upgrading to a Legendary Order upon completion.
    • A full bar means you have a very high upgrade chance.
    • You may even get lucky when completing a Legendary Order and have it upgrade to an Exotic Order!

Order Payouts & Bright Dust

  • Initially, Order Payouts will provide you with regular drops of Bright Dust based on the tier of the Payout.
  • The available Bright Dust is segmented into weekly and seasonal pools, with a target budget each week or Season, respectively.
  • Once the budget is earned, future Orders may continue to give Bright Dust but at a reduced rate.
  • Bright Dust Category Limits:
    • Common & Legendary Order Bright Dust Cap = 1,000 Bright Dust per week, starting at maintenance
    • Exotic Order Bright Dust Cap = 6,000 Bright Dust per season, starting at expansion launch
      • Remember, a Season now covers both the Expansion release and the one immediately following.
  • Payout Tier:
    • Common (Weekly)
      • Bright Dust – Under Limit: 10
      • Bright Dust – Over Limit: 0
    • Legendary (Weekly)
      • Bright Dust – Under Limit: 100
      • Bright Dust – Over Limit: 10
    • Exotic (Seasonal)
      • Bright Dust – Under Limit: 200
      • Bright Dust – Over Limit: 30

Example of How this Works

  • Claiming Common Order Payouts provides 10 Bright Dust each until your account has earned 1,000 Bright Dust that week from Common and Legendary Payouts combined.
    • After reaching the 1,000 Bright Dust Weekly Category Limit, Common Payouts no longer provide Bright Dust.
  • Claiming Legendary Order Payouts provides 100 Bright Dust each until your account has earned 1,000 Bright Dust that week from Common and Legendary Payouts combined.
    • After reaching the 1,000 Bright Dust Weekly Category limit, Legendary Payouts provide 10 Bright Dust.
  • Claiming Exotic Order Payouts provides 200 Bright Dust each until your account has earned 6,000 Bright Dust during that Season from Exotic Payouts.
    • After reaching the 6,000 Bright Dust Seasonal Category limit, Exotic Payouts provide 30 Bright Dust.

Daily and Weekly Objectives

  • Daily Objectives (dailies) are easy to complete, refresh daily, and still reward you with 10 Bright Dust each as well as an amount of experience, Weekly Rank Progress, and Weekly Bonus Ranks.
  • On the other hand, Weekly Objectives (weeklies) require a bit more of a time investment, refresh weekly, give you 50 Bright Dust, a high amount of Weekly Rank Progress, experience, and four Portal Bonus Drops.
  • Below your objectives, you can check your progress on the weekly Reward Track, which will offer Powerful gear, currencies, and unlocks for Zavala’s weekly Vanguard Armory and Arsenal gear selections.

Vanguard Alerts

What are Vanguard Alerts?

  • Launching shortly after Renegades launches, Vanguard Alerts allow you and your fireteam to complete a range of activities available to players at all skill levels for rewards that will help you progress in the game.
  • Activities include different playlists, a new Grandmaster Vanguard Alert, and the latest dungeon and raid.
  • For returning players, Vanguard Alerts should feel similar to the Vanguard Ops playlist and Grandmaster Nightfalls of old.
  • The goal was to bring back the feeling of logging into Destiny 2 for the week and immediately knowing what activities to start with to get you and your fireteam that good loot, giving you an opportunity to have fun while building up to harder activities.

How do I access Vanguard Alerts?

  • To complete Vanguard Alerts, open the Director and select Seasonal Hub and go to the new Vanguard Alerts tab.
  • You can view the playlists and activities for the week, see the rewards, and view the activity challenges.
  • They rotate weekly, so every week should feel like a new challenge is awaiting you and your friends.

Activities

  • The Vanguard 3-player Alert, Arena 6-player Vanguard Alert and Crucible Alert contain a set of activities that are fast, uncomplicated to complete, and have pre-set modifiers.
    • These are best for players that just want to relax and play some quick activities while still earning great rewards.
    • Matchmaking is enabled for these playlists.
  • The Grandmaster Vanguard Alerts are more difficult activities where you and your fireteam can test your mettle (and your newly acquired rewards and Power level).
    • Rotating weekly, Grandmaster Vanguard Alerts should take slightly longer and offer greater rewards for your time and effort, as they are harder than the usual Grandmaster difficulty you found elsewhere in the Portal.
    • Think of them as the Grandmaster Nightfalls of old.
    • Matchmaking is disabled for this activity node.
  • The Dungeon and Raid nodes are accessible in the Vanguard Alerts tab  so you can easily access these activities.
    • The dungeon and raid have weekly challenges that grant rewards from their correspondent reward pools.
    • Matchmaking is disabled for this activity node.

Vanguard Alert Rewards

  • The goal of Vanguard Alerts is to have you start your week in Destiny 2 there, so its rewards have been designed to accommodate that.
  • Each week, the Vanguard, Arena Ops, and Crucible Alerts will offer a multi-stage challenge, with rewards and XP granted for each stage completed.
    • The weapons you earn from completing each stage will be Tier 3 or above, based on your account Power, and among the highest Power drops you can earn in Destiny 2.
    • On top of that, they are a primary source for seasonal weapons featuring the Accelerated Assault Origin Trait which loads a small amount of ammo to the weapon after dealing sustained damage.
      • Crucible Alerts will offer Crucible weapons, specifically.
    • Additionally, once each week, you can earn the following bonus rewards for completing the first stage in each Alert category:
      • Vanguard Alert: 50 Chronologs
      • Arena Ops: 50 Bright Dust
      • Crucible: 50 Bright Dust
    • You can repeat the playlist activities and receive regular rewards based on score with a random chance of gaining another seasonal weapon with the extra Origin Trait.
    • Completing Grandmaster Vanguard Alerts with a Grade B or higher will reward one pinnacle weapon with the Accelerated Assault Origin Trait and Bonus XP.
    • Completing the dungeon and raid weekly challenge grants a seasonal bonus powerful gear reward from either activity.

Conquests & Conqueror Seal

  • Conquests are score‑based PvE challenges accessed via the Seasonal Hub in the Portal for each season.
    • They have replaced the legacy Grandmaster Nightfalls.
    • GM-level difficulty persists, but it is now exclusively encountered via GM Conquests, not Nightfalls.
  • A minimum of Six seasonal Conquests are available: 2×Expert, 2×Master, and 2×Grandmaster difficulties, and later 2xUltimate difficulties..
    • Each conquest can be played once.
  • Conquests blend activities like Nightfall Strikes, Seasonal Empire Hunts, Exotic Missions, Delve Nightfalls, and others. The mix changes each season.
  • Completing them awards valuable high-level gear, power-level loot drops, and progress towards seasonal objectives.
  • To access Conquests, visit the Portal > Seasonal Hub > Conquests Tab.

REWARDS:

  • Each Conquest offers one guaranteed Prime-level reward engram, ranked to difficulty tier, Tier 5 for GM.
  • Additional Conquest rewards feed into Seasonal Bonus Power, which phases out at season end.
  • There are a minimum of 6 Conquests available per expansion with each activity ranging from Advanced to Ultimate.
  • The primary distinguishing feature of Conquests is that they offer significant, high-tier loot as a one-time reward per character per season.
    • You can replay them, but the loot will be standard per future completions.

Requirements

  • There are specific requirements in order to play these activities:
    • There is a power level requirement per activity, which increases per activity.
      • Fireteam Power is disabled for Conquests. All fireteam members MUST be at or above the required power level.
    • You must equip new gear (armour and weapons) in order to play Conquests. As of Renegades, all Exotic weapons and armour count as New Gear.
  • Guardians are able to unlock Seals by completing specific triumphs outlined within the Seal.
  • When a Seal has been claimed and applied, a purple title will be displayed under your name and will be visible in your character menu. Bragging rights for completing that objective, one could say!
  • The Conqueror Seal, once dedicated toward Grandmaster Nightfall completions, has been redesigned to reward Conquest completions.
    • Tracking now includes Expert‑, Master‑, and GM-level Conquest Triumphs for title progression.
    • Gilding remains tied to four GM-level completions, but can now be earned across seasons rather than tied to specific strikes.
    • Seal progress resets every season. Once the current season’s Conquests change, you’ll need to complete the new ones in future seasons to continue progressing/gilding.
