What is Guardian Games?
Guardian Games is Destiny’s Spring Event that is Free For All Players. Here’s a quick breakdown of what you need to know:
- With Guardian Games All Stars, like previous years, the main objective is to earn medallions from completing activities and Contender Cards!
- All medallions get deposited at the Tower Podium in the Tower Courtyard to earn points for your class’s team
- This years Guardian Games All Stars, Bungie has introduced a brand new vehicle type, a new weapon and new memento!

GUARDIAN GAMES 2024
Objective:
- 1 − Visit Eva Levante in the Tower to begin the Seasonal Quest. Choose your preferred class to work on during the event.
- 2 − Earn medallions by completing various activities and Contender Cards. Submit medallions at the Tower Podium in the Tower.
- 3 − Participate in the Guardian Games Nightfall Playlist, Guardian Games Supremacy Crucible Mode of Guardian Games Gambit mode to earn a high score and rewards.
- 4 − Each day, a winner − Titan, Warlock or Hunter − will be noted at the Tower.
- 5 − At the end of the event, the class that has the most wins during the event will be declared the winner.
- Until the next event, a statue will be in the tower showcasing the winning class’s victory.
Bounties and Rewards!
- Eva offers three different Guardian Games Bounties which will reward players for completing them:
- Weekly Bounties will reward XP, Glimmer, and Bright Dust
- Daily Bounties will reward XP and Materials
- Additional Bounties will reward XP and Bright Dust.
- Bounties for this Guardian Games have been refreshed with new and exciting ways to engage in the new Strike Scoring and Strike Medals introduced with Guardian Games content!
- Complete Guardian Game Triumphs to earn exclusive rewards, including new emblems, shaders, a new Exotic Ship, Guardian Game-exclusive weapons, the Exotic LMG Heir Apparent, a Heir Apparent Catalyst, and more!

Found on any Guardian Games Event weapon found during or after Season 16.
Guardian Games Memento
- You’ll have a chance to earn this special customization item when banking Gold and Platinum Medallions,
- Completing Diamond Medallions guarantees a Memento.
- Once you have a Guardian Games All-Stars Memento in your inventory, Eva will store your extra ones until the end of the event.
- All additional mementos stored with Eva that aren’t used once the event ends will be removed, so use ’em up!
Heir Apparent Quest & Catalyst
- This year, Eva Levante offers newcomers and players who missed out last year a quest to earn the Heir Apparent Exotic Machine Gun while participating in Guardian Games!
- To obtain the quest, begin this year’s Introductory Quest for Guardian Games!
Top of Class Exotic Quest:
- Step 1: Obtain a medallion – this can be done from completing Eva’s bounties, or completing a Guardian Games Playlist activity.
- Step 2: Defeat 100 Combatants with a Machine Gun. Guardian kills grant bonus progress.
Once you have the Heir Apparent Exotic Machine Gun, you have the chance to obtain a Catalyst Quest. To increase your chance at obtaining the quest, deposit as many Gold or Platinum medals as you can. Fellow Guardians have noted that the drop rate for the quest has been pretty generous so far! Once you have the quest, there are 3 objectives to complete.
Competitive Catalyst Exotic Quest:
- Step 1: Earn 50 points by obtaining medals. Higher tier medals are worth more points.
- Step 2: Complete 3 Contender Cards of your choice.
- Step 3: Collect 90 Competitive Spirit by defeating combatants with Machine Guns in the Daily Focus Playlist.
- All strike playlists are compatible with this quest step.
When you have obtained the catalyst for Heir Apparent, you must then defeat 700 enemies with the Heir Apparent to complete the catalyst (Strikes or Altar of Sorrow work great). Heir Apparent will become Masterworked (gains a kill tracker and generates orbs on multi-kills) and increases the durability of the Arc Shield. In addition, when the shield is broken by a combatant, some of the magazine is partially reloaded.
Guardian Games: Event Card & Event Challenges
- Similar to Seasonal Challenges, Event Challenges will be available during the Guardian Games event that all players can work toward and complete to earn new loot including gear, shaders, emblems and unique event items.
- Access this Event card by visiting Eva Levante in the Tower Courtyard or via the Quests tab!
- In addition to the event challenges, players can earn a new seal by completing their event card and contribute progress to a new Multi-event Seal. Players can also gild their seal!
- Players have until the end of the event to complete all Event Challenges
Upgraded Event Card Rewards
- Although Eververse is typically the primary source of cosmetic loot, Guardian Games will have a curated selection of cosmetic rewards available through the Event Card itself!
- These rewards will only be available through the Event Card during their initial release but may be featured in the Eververse Store in the future.
- Acquiring these extra cosmetic items will require players to purchase the upgraded Event Card, which costs 1000 Silver.
- Purchasing the upgraded event card immediately grants players an Exotic Reward Bundle!
- The Upgraded Event Card contains rewards equivalent to around 3000 Silver, though this may vary somewhat depending on future Event Cards
Unsure if you want to purchase the Upgraded Event Card? You can wait to purchase it later in the event to see how many Event Tickets you’ve accumulated!

Event Information
Visit Eva Levante in the Tower to begin the event.
The main objective for the event is to earn medals for your respective class by partaking in various activities across the solar system. Turn in your medals at the Tower Podium to increase your class score. At the end of the event, a winner will be decided and will have bragging rights, as well as a commemorative statue in the Tower until the next Guardian Games the following year!
The Tower Podium
During Guardian Games, the Towers Guardian Games Podium will change daily to reflect the current status of the leading team. Class flags will update throughout the day to show which team is leading, and there will also be a calendar showing the winner for each day throughout the event.
Every weekend there will be a special ceremony where you will be able show off a glow from your class item depending on your class’ standing that week.
- Third place receives a bronze glow.
- Second place receives a silver glow.
- First place receives a gold glow.
- All-Stars receive a platinum glow.
There will be a special final weekend closing ceremony held in the Tower toward the end of the event.
Contributions & Outcome
- Depending on your contributions to Guardian Games All-Stars, you’ll earn glows and the bragging rights that come with them.
- These are linked to your personal and group achievements, and there are five in total:
- One for being the “best in Tower” Guardian.
- Another for being a member of the winning class of the day.
- A shoulder glow linked to your weekly performance in the Nightfall playlist.
- A second shoulder glow for your weekly performance in Supremacy and Gambit.
- And a bronze, silver, or gold glow with the shape of a laurel crown (depending on your class place) in the Friday coronation ceremony.
- At the end of the event, the class that wins the most days will be crowned winner, and their Class Item will change to gold until the next event, to remind everyone of their victory.
- Not only that, but for the whole year, members of the winning class can also trigger some fancy fireworks in the Tower if they interact with the Guardian Games All-Stars statue.
Inventory and Materials
Medallions
- Players can earn medallions from Triumphs, Contender Cards, and activity completions.
- Medallions are stored in the Medallion Case found in the Quest inventory. Turning completed Medallions into the Tower Podium will increase your team’s score.
- Medallions are what you are aiming for during this competition. Try to multi-task – get as much as you can get done!
- You will receive a Medallion Case from Eva to store your hardware until you are ready to visit the podium in the Tower to bank them for your team.
- Turning in medallions also gives you a chance at receiving an event package depending on the medallion type.
- [NEW] Guardians can earn Diamond Medallions by watching Destiny Streamers on Twitch.tv that have enabled the medallion; simply watch the account for up to 2 hours.
- To redeem, from the Twitch app/web page, select Notifications, select the Diamond Medallion message and claim; ensure your Twitch.tv account is connected to your Bungie.net account.
- This can be redeemed once per week. (resets with Weekly Reset)
Contender Medals
- Players can purchase Contender or Platinum Cards from Eva Levante in the Tower Courtyard.
- Completing Platinum Cards will always reward Platinum Medallions.
- Completing Contender Cards will always reward Gold Medallions.
Class-based Competition
- Guardian Games features Nightfall, Crucible and Gambit playlists this year!
Nightfalls Playlists
- Guardian Games Nightfall Strikes will be feature Strike Scoring and Strike Medals that will reward players for pulling off impressive feats. There are two Playlists:
- Recreation Playlist: Practice scoring throughout the week, which is a combined score of your entire fireteam.
- Competitive Playlist: Test your mettle and achieve high scores to earn exciting rewards.
- You can choose to play standard matchmaking or class-based matchmaking, or even no matchmaking!
Crucible Playlist - Supremacy
- Supremacy is back! Compete in Supremacy and pick up crests from fallen opponents, or deny opponents from scoring.
- Team points earned in Supremacy will contribute towards your weekly Supremacy quest.
- For this event, Guardians of the same class will be teamed up against rival classes! (Ex: Titans vs Hunters or Warlocks)
Gambit Playlist
- Drifter is finally being included in something again!
- In the Guardian Games Gambit Playlist, there will be class-based matchmaking.
Focus Activities
- Every few hours, one of the Guardian Games All-Stars playlists will be the Focus Activity.
- They will be live for two hours from Monday to Thursday and for three hours from Friday to Sunday, and they are a new great way to get Medallions and other rewards.
- Playing a Focus Activity unlocks up to three tiers of reward packages that go from bronze to silver to gold, with better prizes for each tier.
- The Champions Package will go to the class that dominates the Focus Activity by earning the highest scores.
- The Champions Package will fill the Medallion Case, not including Diamond Medallions because those are unique to their Contender Cards.

Guardian Games Cup: 2024
“For the third year in a row, we are celebrating Guardian Games Cup across the globe! From March 5 at 9:00 AM PST until March 26 at 9:59 AM PDT, players can compete for glory in-game while also supporting Direct Relief and the International Rescue Committee through the Bungie Foundation.” −Bungie
- To get started, refer to Bungie Key Messages/Q&A provided below.
- For streamers, it is encouraged to show their class pride by sporting their class overlays while streaming Guardian Games!
- Top teams have a chance to win rewards in either the Technical or Charitable Categories.
- For the technical category, Bungie will be tracking each officially registered team’s total number of medals dunked during the three-week Guardian Games period.
- For the charitable category, Bungie will be tracking the total amount raised through the team’s official Bungie Foundation sign-up page throughout the same period.
- Any donation of $10 during the event will receive the Together in Contribution emblem.
- Every $10 donated will net you an additional code for the emblem. You must select the specific incentive when donating to receive your code.

Rules
To be eligible for prizes from either category, please follow the rules below.
- Players must register on the Tiltify campaign page and provide their Bungie ID.
- Players may only join one (1) team and may not switch teams once registered.
- Teams may have a maximum of six (6) players on a team.
- Team captains are responsible for their rosters, including accurate membership and Bungie IDs.
- Prizes are cumulative for each tier. For example, the first-place team will receive prizes from all four levels.
- Prizes are non-transferrable and cannot be redeemed for other prizes.
- Teams may compete in both the Technical and Charitable categories.
- Teams that place in both categories will receive duplicate prizes.

I am the captain, how does my team sign up?
- Visit: https://tiltify.com/bungiefoundation/ggc-2024
- Click Start Fundraising.
- Sign in or create a Tiltify account (if you do not already have one).
- Confirm account registration via email before proceeding to next steps.
- Select Create Team-Based Campaign.
- Select Create a Team (unless you would like to use a previously created team).
- Complete Team Profile (be sure to set Team Security to Private).
- Click Save Team and Create Campaign.
- Complete team campaign details and click Next.
- Review team roles and click Create.
- From the Team Campaign dashboard, click back on the left side panel.
- Click Members.
- Click Generate Invite Link.
- Send this link to your teammates (max six total).
- Team members must click this link to join the team. Once joined, teammates and captain should follow the steps below to create their Individual Campaign.
How do I join a team and create my campaign?
- Follow the link received from your captain and click Accept.
- You will be prompted to sign in to Tiltify or create a new account.
- Once signed in and joined, visit: https://tiltify.com/bungiefoundation/ggc-2024
- Click Start Fundraising.
- Confirm the event and click Continue.
- Select Individual Campaign and click Continue.
- Progress through the registration steps.
- Be sure to enable the Cause Rewards when prompted. (This will allow your donors to receive their emblem codes.)
- Complete registration. (An accurate Bungie ID is required for campaign scoring.)
What does my team need to do once a campaign has been published?
- Campaigns cannot be published until March 5, 2024, at 9:00 AM PST.
- Captains must first publish the team campaign before individual campaigns can join the team campaign.
- Once published, all team members must log in to their accounts and follow these steps:
- Click Campaigns.
- Click your unpublished campaign.
- Click Setup.
- Click Information.
- Select your team under Support a team campaign.
- Click Support to confirm your selection.
- Click Overview and select Publish Campaign when ready to begin fundraising.
How does Team and Individual fundraising work?
- Each invited team member must create their own individual campaign under the team campaign in order to earn credit for lifetime donations and be scored in the competitions. Each team will also have a team fundraising page. Donors may donate to either page/link. All donations received, either through individual or team links, will count towards your team’s total.
- For example:
- Player A raises $100 through their page.
- Player B raises $500 through their page.
- The team page receives $1000.
- The total team funds will be $1600.
- If you would like credit towards your personal lifetime fundraising status, donations must be made through your individual campaign link.
- Donations cannot be moved from the team campaign to an individual campaign once the transaction is complete.
How do I add the Together in Contribution emblem incentive to my campaign?
INDIVIDUAL CAMPAIGN
- During registration you will be prompted to select all rewards offered by the event.
- Please ensure to select the reward for Together in Contribution to enable it on your campaign page.
- This can also be done later following the same steps below if originally missed.
TEAM CAMPAIGN
- From your Tiltify account dashboard:
- Select Campaigns -> Choose your team campaign -> Click Overview -> Click Add Incentives -> Toggle the Active slider on the reward.
Will this event be eligible for Light Keeper's Guild (lifetime fundraising) status?
- Yes, all donations received through individual fundraising page/links will count towards your Light Keeper’s Guild status.
- Donations received through team links are not eligible.
- Your team’s total fundraising amount will not count towards Light Keeper’s Guild status.
- If you would like to earn and progress your Light Keeper’s Guild status, we recommend sharing your individual page link.
- Any funds raised individually still count towards your team’s goal for the competition.
How do I invite clanmates or friends to my team?
- Once a team has been created by the Team Captain, they should mark their sign-up page to private and share the link with their teammates.
- Each team can have a maximum of six (6) members, and the Team Captain may remove members at any time.
How do I join my friend's team?
- If your friend has created a team already, please ask them to generate an invite link to share with you.
- Only the Team Captain can generate this link.
When can I donate and/or begin collecting donations?
- For this event, donations will open on March 5, 2024, at 9:00 AM PST and will be accepted until March 26, 2024, at 9:59 AM PDT.
How can I earn the Together in Contribution emblem?
- Donors must select their desired incentive when donating.
- Donations of $10 will earn a code for Together in Contribution.
- Donors may earn multiple codes per $10 donation.
- If you do not specify the Together in Contribution incentive, you will not receive a code!
Where is the money from my donation going?
Bungie Foundation
- Bungie Foundation is partnering with the following organizations:
- Direct Relief, a humanitarian organization active in the US and more than 80 countries with the goal of improving the health and lives of people affected by poverty and emergencies.
- International Rescue Committee: a humanitarian organization that responds to the world’s worst crises, including the conflict in Ukraine and the crisis in Afghanistan.
- Each team participating in the Guardian Games Cup will have their own unique link for the charity, so make sure you donate to support your favourite team! Not only is it a contest for points and medals, it’s also a contest to see who can raise the most money for a good cause.
Eververse & Bungie Rewards
- As always, Tess Everis has her wide range of goodies, including emotes, finishers, shaders, and even a new universal ornament set!
- Most items will be available via Bright Dust throughout the duration of the Guardian Games event.
- Tip: Core Weekly Challenges and Additional Core Bounties offer Bright Dust!
- In addition – for Season Pass owners, several Season Ranks and completing the Master of All Seasonal Challenge (Completing 75 Seasonal Challenges) offers a sufficient amount of Bright Dust!
- For Seasonal Challenges, keep an eye on all available challenges and work on multiple objectives at once if the challenges can be completed within the same activity or location!
