What are Weapon Mods?
- Over time, you will unlock new weapon modifications that provide additional benefits to the gun.
- Weapon mods can be equipped at any time.
- While completing activities and discovering loot can reward mods, Banshee-44 is known to reward mods at random by ranking up his faction rank.
- Rank up the Gunsmith by dismantling gear and completing his daily bounties. Each day, Banshee-44 also sells weapon and armour mods.

New Mods
Mods introduced with the 30th Anniversary.
Holding down the trigger will fire this weapon at full auto.
+Full Auto
As of Season 19, there is a full-auto mode that can be toggled in your settings! This mod is still available if you want full-auto on select weapons.
Causes a festive celebration on each precision final blow. This has a one-time use per mod.
+Unique Trait
This mod can be equipped on any weapon, however each time it is used, that one mod will be consumed.
Generic Mods
Mods that can be found on most weapons.
Deals extra damage against regular (red bar) enemies.
+7.5% damage increase
Deals extra damage against powerful (orange bar) enemies.
+7.5% damage increase
Deals extra damage against mini-bosses, bosses and vehicles.
+7.5% damage increase
Deals extra damage against all Taken enemies, including bosses.
+10% damage increase
Reduces recoil deviation (the intensity of how the weapon moves when firing).
+15 Recoil Deviation
Weapon aim assistance and hitbox is improved, making it easier to hit targets.
+5 Aim Assistance
Increases accuracy and ready speed when firing from the hip (free fire, no zoom).
Great for Hand Cannons.
Improves accuracy while airborne, reducing aim deviation while moving.
Great for Shotguns and Hand Cannons.
Increases magazine and ammo capacity.
+3 magazine
+30 ammo capacity
Brief boost to ready speed and aiming after sprinting.
Situational.
Swap weapons much faster for a short duration after emptying the magazine.
Situational.
Radar immediately returns after zooming in with your weapon.
Great for Long-Ranged Weapons.
Slightly increases radar range, improving enemy detection.
Great for Sniper Rifles.
Adept Mods
Rare mods that can only be equipped on Adept and Timelost weapons.
Adept Mods are stronger, more specific mods that can only be equipped on Adept Weapons, obtainable from Grandmaster Nightfalls and visiting The Lighthouse (flawless trials ticket) in Trials of Osiris. Adept mods act similar to Masterwork bonuses, adding additional benefits in addition to the Adept bonuses that come with the weapon itself, further improving the performance of that weapon. Due note however that some of these mods have negative attributes as a tradeoff.

Greatly improves recoil direction at the cost of range.

Greatly improves target acquisition at the cost of stability.
+10 Aim Assistance

Improves accuracy while airborne. Slightly increases weapon range.
+Weapon Accuracy
+5 Range
Improves bow accuracy, allowing for easier precision hits against combatants.
+10 Accuracy
Improves bow draw time, allowing for quicker attacks against combatants.
-10 Draw Time
Improves projectile blast radius, allowing better area of effect damage.
+10 Blast Radius
Improves overall speed of your weapon’s rocket or grenade.
+10 Velocity
Improves sword impact damage, allowing for better damage per swing.
+10 Impact
Improves Fusion Rifle Charge Time, allowing for quicker weapon bursts.
+10 Charge Time
Improves weapon readiness, allowing for better swapping speed between weapons.
+10 Handling
Greatly increases magazine size at the cost of weapon readiness speed.
+40 Magazine
-15 Handling
Improves weapon range, allowing your weapon to hit targets at a greater distance.
+10 Range
Improves weapon reload time, reducing the time it takes to change your magazine.
+10 Reload Time
Improves weapon stability, allowing for better accuracy when firing your weapon.
