What is Trials of Osiris?

Trials of Osiris is the highest tier of PvP content that is available every weekend.
Two fireteams of 3 face each other in an elimination-style match with the objective to achieve a Flawless Run, a seven-game win streak that grants passage to an exclusive location called the Simulated Lighthouse
Participating in this event requires a passage that can be purchased from Saint-XIV in the Tower Hangar.

Quick Lore − Osiris

Osiris is a legendary Warlock and former Vanguard Commander who was exiled from The Last City due to his obsession with the Vex. During his exile, Osiris continued his research on the Vex and discovered the Infinite Forest on Mercury, which he proceeded to explore to thwart the Vex’s plans for the Solar System.

After being aided by The Guardian and Ikora Rey in stopping Panoptes, Infinite Mind, Osiris reestablished connections with the Last City and continued exploring the Infinite Forest while seeking the means to save Saint-14 from his death within the Vex machine. After succeeding in saving his partner with the use of the Sundial, Osiris and his Ghost, Sagira, departed Mercury to gather allies and information about a dark future he saw approaching the solar system.

Most recently, Sagira was killed in action during a conflict on the Moon. It was later revealed that the Osiris that had been assisting the Vanguard during the Wrathborn, Cabal Conflict and the rise in Xivu Arath forces had been none other than Savathûn herself. The Guardians eventually made a trade for Osiris by helping rid Savathûn of her Worm.

Trials of Osiris: Competitive PvP Event

Scheduling and Pre-Requisites

When live, Trials of Osiris is available from Friday at Daily Reset through Tuesday until Weekly Reset occurs. There are, however, times when Trials of Osiris will not be active:
- 1st Week of a Season/Expansion Launch
- Raid World First Event
- Iron Banner
With this event being a highly competitive PvP Event, there are certain pre-requisites required in order to access this event:
- Trials of Osiris require the latest annual expansion.
- Your Guardian must complete an introduction quest.
- Power Level matters. You must be at the soft cap in order to enter.

Getting Started

Trials of Osiris Introductory Quest

Starting in Season 21, new players will be provided with a Trials introductory quest:

Step 1:
- Complete your Competitive placement series. (7 matches)
- Get 50 kills in Competitive.
- Raise your power level.
Step 2:
- Pick up a Trials Passage.
- Play a game of Trials.
- Win 1 round of trials.
- Get 1 elimination in Trials.

Choose your Passage!

To gain access to the Trials of Osiris, you must first purchase a Trials Passage by visiting Saint-XIV in the Tower Hanger. Trials Passages cost 10,000 Glimmer. Scroll down to the Trials Passage section to learn more about the types of Passages you can purchase.

Objective & Map Rotation

Trials of Osiris is a 3v3 Elimination activity called Dominion. Players face off in 5 rounds per match, with each round lasting up to 90 seconds or until the opposing team is wiped out, or the plate is captured. The team to win 5 rounds wins the match. Doing this 7 times without losing a single match will allow your team to visit the Simulated Lighthouse, an exclusive social space set on a Simulated Mercury that has rewards waiting for Guardians worthy enough to get there.

Every weekend, one dedicated Crucible arena will be the featured destination that you will fight in.

Reputation & Rewards

Like Lord Shaxx and the other core vendors, Saint-XIV now has a reputation ranking system that can be progressed through winning rounds.

Reputation is gained at the end of a match and is based on the number of rounds won on your ticket.
Ranking up will provide a Trials Engram:
- Trials engrams decrypt into a random selection from current armour and non-adept weapons.
  - You do not need to unlock a piece of armour or weapon before it shows up in the engram.
- You can focus your engrams at Saint-XIV to decrypt specific items that you have already received.
  - Flawless Adept Weapons can also be focused but do note that it is quite expensive and require your flawless passage; it’s better to grind for these weapons by playing games post-flawless!
In addition to traditional rewards offered through the rank-up system, unique Trials weapons can be unlocked at Rank 10 and Rank 16 for each of the first three resets of the Season.

For Guardians wishing to progress their Power Level, Saint-XIV offers two Pinnacle Rewards from completing the following objectives in Trials of Osiris:

Win 7 Matches total on a given weekend.
Win 50 Rounds.

As of Season 23, additional weekly rewards will be granted regardless if your passage is flawless or not:

3 wins – Trials armor
4 wins – 5 Enhancement Cores
5 wins – Trials weapon
6 wins – 3 Enhancement Prisms

Adept Weapons

When your team goes flawless, you gain access to the Lighthouse Chest.
You will receive an Adept Trials Weapon, a unique weapon that can utilize Adept Mods, a series of mods that can further enhance the capabilities of your weapon, and an Ascendant Shard.
- In addition, masterworking adept weapons provide an additional boost to all weapon stats.
Adept mods can be acquired from Trials of Osiris Flawless Chests and Grandmaster Nightfalls.

For the remainder of the Trials weekend, post-flawless game wins have a chance to drop additional adept drops!

If a player has NOT acquired a piece of Trials gear previously:
- 7 Trials Engrams
- 100 Legendary Shards
- 10,000 Glimmer
If a player has acquired a piece of Trials gear previously:
- 3 Trials Engrams
- 25 Legendary Shards
- 25,000 Glimmer

Trials Passages

Passages are your entry card into the Trials of Osiris event. Guardians can purchase one of 5 different passages that grant unique bonuses. To purchase a Passage, visit Saint-XIV in the Tower Hangar.

With Season 15, there were some changes to the Passage system:

Passages no longer track losses – a Passage is either Flawless or not.
- This allows you to keep playing and earning match and round wins for rewards.
- Players may continue to reset their passages after a loss but are no longer forced to after three losses total.
Passages track up to 20 rounds won.
Passages have been re-ordered (Mercy is not super useful unless you are trying to go Flawless) and have all had their prices significantly reduced.
Passages are now account-wide.
- You can play and earn rewards on any of your characters on the same Passage.

With zero losses, this passage grants a bonus win after your third win. Losses after your third win reset you to back 3 wins each time, meaning once you get to 3 wins, you must win 4 more matches to get to the lighthouse.

Losses following a win will remove the win from your card. Consecutive losses do not remove additional wins. Getting to 7 wins grants you a drop of the weekly Adept weapon, regardless of how many losses you have taken.

Grants +75 rep per every win, along with an additional bonus for your current Trials rank, up to +150 in total.

This passage grants bonus XP from Trials wins, scaling with the number of wins on a ticket.

This passage grants bonus rewards from the Flawless Chest.

This passage forgives two losses per run. This passage is recommended for teams aiming to go Flawless.

Origin Trait: Alacrity

Gain increased reload, stability, aim assist, and range when you are the last living member of your fireteam or running solo.

Found on any new Trials of Osiris weapon obtained after Season 16. Trials weapons will also have the Crucible Origin trait, “One Quiet Moment.”

Weapons outlined in red are leaving the loot pool at the end of the season. Weapons that are grey are currently unattainable. Weapons that are grey with white borders are being reprised or added in the upcoming season.
