What are Ritual Weapons?
- Ritual Weapons are unique weapons with static rolls being offered in a given season that can be obtained by one of the core vendors: Commander Zavala, Lord Shaxx, or The Drifter
- Some Ritual Weapons were obtained through quests but more recently, they are obtained through ranking up with your core vendor. This guide will explain more about this!
- NOTE: Legacy Ritual Weapons prior to weapon sunsetting are stored in the Exotic Kiosk in the Tower Courtyard

Year 9 Ritual Weapons
Choose Your Path
- For Ritual Weapons being offered in Year 8 and Beyond, Guardians are able to choose how they wish to pursue their weapon.
- Ritual Weapons can be obtained by gaining reputation with either Commander Zavala (Strikes), Lord Shaxx (Crucible) or the Drifter (Gambit). Reputation can be earned through playing through core activities.
- TIP: Activity Streaks have been enabled. Stay in the Playlist queue to earn additional reputation gains for that activity. Note that leaving the queue or going AFK will end your streak (excluding going to the Tower, H.E.L.M or going to Orbit).
Ornaments
- Once a Ritual Weapon has been obtained, ornaments for that weapon will become available to earn through core activities.
- Commander Zavala, Lord Shaxx, and the Drifter will all offer ornaments for each Year 8 Ritual Weapon.
- For Reckless Endangerment, resetting your Rank twice for each vendor will earn you that specific ornament.
- TIP: Use Activity Streaks and take advantage of Weekly Bonuses that occur from time to time for the most efficient reputation gains.

STRIKE PATH: STRIKES IN YOUR SIGHTS
- Speak to Banshee-44 in the Tower and choose the Vanguard path.
- Strikes and Strife
- Defeat 40 Bosses.
- Defeat 1000 Combatants with Sniper Rifles. Precision Kills grant the most efficient progress.
- Earn 300 Points by defeating combatants and completing strikes.
- Eyes on the Enemies
- In streaks of 2 or more, defeat combatants with Sniper Rifles 35 times.
- Acquire 20 Precision Kills with Sniper Rifles.
- Return to Banshee-44.
STRIKE ORNAMENT: BALISTRARIA WRAP
- Speak with Commander Zavala in the Tower.
- Strike Rangemaster
- Defeat 70 Combatants with a Sniper Rifle.
- Rapidly defeat 20 Combatants.
- Defeat 50 Bosses. [retroactive]
- Return to Commander Zavala.

CRUCIBLE PATH: CRUCIBLE IN YOUR SIGHTS
- Speak to Banshee-44 in the Tower and choose the Crucible path.
- Valor and Victory
- Earn 3 Valor Ranks.
- Defeat 500 Guardians as a team. [does not require Sniper Rifle kills, however, Sniper Rifle Precision Kills grant the most progress]
- Earn 200 Points by defeating Guardians with Sniper Rifles. Precision Kills grant the most efficient progress.
- Eyes Downrange
- Acquire either 5 Long-Range Kills OR 5 Precision Kills with a Sniper Rifle. Whichever objective is completed first will complete this quest step.
- Return to Banshee-44.
CRUCIBLE ORNAMENT: RUBICUND WRAP
- Speak with Lord Shaxx in the Tower.
- Crucible Rangemaster
- Defeat 20 Guardians with Sniper Rifle Precision Kills.
- Defeat 50 Guardians with a Sniper Rifle.
- As a team, defeat 600 Guardians. [retroactive, does not require Sniper Rifle kills]
- Return to Lord Shaxx.
→ GAMBIT IN YOUR SIGHTS
GAMBIT PATH: GAMBIT IN YOUR SIGHTS
- Speak to Banshee-44 in the Tower and choose the Gambit path.
- Infamy and Invasions
- Earn 3 Infamy Ranks.
- Defeat combatants with 300 Precision Kills. [does not require Sniper Rifle kills, however Sniper Rifle Precision Kills grant the most progress]
- Earn 250 Points by defeating combatants with Sniper Rifles. Precision Kills grant the most efficient progress.
- Eyes on the Bank
- Defeat 5 Guardians OR 20 Blockers with a Sniper Rifle. Whichever objective is completed first will complete this quest step.
- Return to Banshee-44.
GAMBIT ORNAMENT: SNAKESKIN WRAP
- Speak with the Drifter in the Tower Annex.
- Gambit Rangemaster
- Defeat 70 Combatants with a Sniper Rifle.
- Rapidly defeat 20 Combatants.
- As a team, deposit 400 Motes. [retroactive]
- Return to the Drifter.
