What is Festival of the Lost?
Festival of the Lost is Destiny’s Fall Event that is Free for All Players. Here’s a quick breakdown of what you need to know:
- With Festival of the Lost 2022, there will be a new event card filled with challenges to complete.
- Haunted Sectors return, which are Halloween-themed Lost Sectors filled with enemies, spooky decorations and some pumpkin-looking enemies.
- Earn the new Mechabre Sniper Rifle!

Haunted Sectors
FESTIVAL OF THE LOST 2022 EVENT
Objective:
- 1 − Visit Eva Levante in the Tower to begin the Seasonal Quest.
- 2 − Complete activities throughout the game with a mask equipped to earn Spectral Pages.
- 3 − When you have Spectral Pages, launch into the Haunted Sector Playlist and defeat Headless Ones to convert Spectral Pages into Manifested Pages.
- 4 − Earn Candy by defeating combatants and completing activities with a mask equipped.
- Candy can be used to purchase Mystery Grab Bags from Eva, which contain materials and other rewards.
- 5 − Complete Event Challenges, located on the Quest Screen, to acquire Event Rewards.

Origin Trait: Search Party
This weapon is granted faster aim down sights speed and movement speed while aiming down sights when no allies are near.
Found on any Festival of the Lost Event weapon found during or after Season 18.
Weapon Perks have been refreshed for this event! In addition, Festival of the Lost weapons obtained during this event will have the new Search Party Origin Trait!
Eva Levante's Inventory
- Purchase items from Eva Levante in the Tower Courtyard.
- Obtainable items from Eva include bounties, masks, and other Festival of the Lost rewards.
- Masks and rewards may be purchases using Candy which can be earned by defeating enemies and completing activities during Festival of the Lost while a mask is equipped.
Event Challenges
- Complete Event Challenges to unlock unique rewards.
- You can access your Event Card via the Quests Screen
- Upgrade the Event Card by purchasing the Upgraded Event Card for 1000 Silver to automatically unlock an exotic emote, shader and sparrow.
- Earn additional rewards from the upgraded event card!
- Reminder − Earn Spectral and Manifested Pages by defeating Headless Ones in Haunted Sectors.
- Once earned, return these pages to the Book of the Forgotten in the Tower to decipher it.
- Transforming these pages significantly increases Weapon Drops from future Haunted Sectors!

What's New in Festival of the Lost?
It’s Spooky Season!
Festival of the Lost 2022 features:
- Haunted Sectors return! This year, we have an additional haunted sector to play in!
- Earn the new Mechabre Sniper Rifle! Pro-Tip: The Event Quest from Eva Levante should reward a god-roll tier drop!
- All Festival of the Lost Weapons have had their perks refreshed! In addition, they should now drop with the Search Party Origin Trait!
- #TeamMech won this year! A new mech-themed ornament set is available in the Eververse store for Bright Dust or Silver.
- New and returning items from Eververse
- An Event Card, providing ways of earning gear, cosmetic items and Event Tickets
- A new Seal to earn and gild; continue to progress the Reveler Seal
Festival of the Lost Seal & Gilding
- Starting with the Festival of the Lost 2022, players can now earn the Festival of the Lost Seal, “Ghost Writer (Braytech Link Needed).“
- To complete this seal, you’ll need to complete all 24 event challenges offered by the Event Card.
- See Festival of the Lost: Event Card & Challenges (anchor needed) for more information.
- A gilding option is available by completing the four additional challenges available on the Seal screen. Keep in mind though that these challenges are quite the grind!
- Completing the seal will also contribute toward the Event seal − Reveler − a culmination of all four Destiny Season Events.
Eververse & Bungie Rewards
Eververse
- As with any Seasonal Event, there are a number of items available to purchase with silver or bright dust
- Check in with Tess Everise in the Tower or by visiting the Store Tab to view event offers!
Bungie Rewards
- The Headless One T-Shirt is available at the Bungie Store to Guardians who achieve the Bookworm 1 Triumph by unlocking 1/3 of the pages for Book of the Forgotten during the Festival of the Lost event.
- The Ghost Writer Collectible Medallion Pin will be available for pre-order from the Bungie Store for players who complete the new in-game Seal and the title associated with it.
- The last day to unlock these rewards is at the end of the event on November 8.
