What is Festival of the Lost?

Festival of the Lost is Destiny’s Fall Event that is Free for All Players. Here’s a quick breakdown of what you need to know:

With Festival of the Lost 2023, in addition to the event card, you now have engram-focusing via Eerie Engrams and candy.
Haunted Sectors return, which are Halloween-themed Lost Sectors filled with enemies, spooky decorations and some pumpkin-looking enemies.

Haunted Sectors

FESTIVAL OF THE LOST 2023 EVENT

Objective:

1 − Visit Eva Levante in the Tower to begin the Seasonal Quest.
2 − Complete activities throughout the game with a mask equipped to earn Spectral Pages.
3 − When you have Spectral Pages, launch into the Haunted Sector Playlist and defeat Headless Ones to convert Spectral Pages into Manifested Pages.
4 − Earn Candy by defeating combatants and completing activities with a mask equipped.
- Candy can be used to purchase Mystery Grab Bags from Eva, which contain materials and other rewards.
5 − Complete Event Challenges, located on the Quest Screen, to acquire Event Rewards.

Origin Trait: Search Party

This weapon is granted faster aim down sights speed and movement speed while aiming down sights when no allies are near.

Found on any Festival of the Lost Event weapon found during or after Season 18.

Festival Memento

As of the Festival of the Lost 2023 event, players can now earn a new limited-time memento which turns your weapons black.
This memento is first earned by completing the Twilight Triumph, which has secret objectives; the following objectives will complete the triumph:
- With the Clovis Bray Mask (acquire Mask by restoring a chapter of ‘Tales of the Forgotten, Vol. 3’), complete the Fallen S.A.B.E.R. strike.
- With the Nimbus Mask (acquire mask by focusing an Eerie Engram at Eva), go to Neomuna and defeat 100 combatants.
- With the Tormentor Mask (acquire Mask by defeating 100 Headless Ones), go complete a Legend Haunted Sector and defeat 25 combatants with finishers.
The Lost Memento can then be acquired by a random drop via an Eerie Engram, though the drop rate has been reported as low.

Eva Levante's Inventory

Purchase items from Eva Levante in the Tower Courtyard.
Obtainable items from Eva include bounties, masks, and other Festival of the Lost rewards.
Masks and rewards may be purchases using Candy which can be earned by defeating enemies and completing activities during Festival of the Lost while a mask is equipped.

Eerie Engrams & Hocus Focusing

Eerie Engrams will have a chance to drop upon completion of Haunted Sectors.
- Legend Haunted Sectors will have a higher chance of dropping Eerie Engrams.
Players can use Eerie Engrams in two ways:
- Decrypt them individually for some treats, or
- User them as currencies for Hocus Focusing.
Visit Eva Levante in the Tower for “Hocus Focusing,” a new focusing method to acquire Exotic armor with four focusing categories in addition to the Legendary Weapons Eerie Engram focusing.

Important Notes about Hocus Focusing

Players must own the expansion that the Exotic armor is tied to in order for it to be eligible to drop from Hocus Focusing).
- Required expansions for each Exotic armor piece are listed further below (The Forsaken Pack counts towards the Forsaken expansion requirement).
- Players will not need to have acquired the Exotic armor previously for it to be eligible to drop from Hocus Focusing.
- This means players who are still missing Exotic armor will have a chance to earn it from Hocus Focusing.
Players will only receive Exotic armor for the class that they are currently playing while interacting with Hocus Focusing.

Event Challenges

Complete Event Challenges to unlock unique rewards.
- You can access your Event Card via the Quests Screen
- Upgrade the Event Card by purchasing the Upgraded Event Card for 1000 Silver to automatically unlock an exotic emote, shader and sparrow.
- Earn additional rewards from the upgraded event card!
Reminder − Earn Spectral and Manifested Pages by defeating Headless Ones in Haunted Sectors.
- Once earned, return these pages to the Book of the Forgotten in the Tower to decipher it.
- Transforming these pages significantly increases Weapon Drops from future Haunted Sectors!
