“Months after Crota’s demise, Skolas, the former Kell leader of the House of Wolves had been freed from the Reef’s Prison of Elders by a member of an ancient organization called The Nine. Thinking himself to be the Kell of Kells following a prophecy foretold in the Eliksni legend, Skolas and his forces betrayed the Reef and rallied the House of Wolves with the goal to unite all Fallen Houses under his rule. Queen Mara Sov opened the Reef to the Guardians to help combat this new threat. Working with Variks, The Loyal , and Queen Emissary Petra Venj, Guardians hunted the leaders of the House of Wolves and successfully captured Skolas after his attempts to utilize Vex technology to pull the Fallen Houses through time. Following the Awoken battle, Oryx began using his power of taking enemies to subject them to his will. This threat affected every enemy race Guardians have faced in the system. Eventually, Guardians infiltrated the Dreadnaught that had been stationed near Saturn and killed Oryx in his physical form. A group of Guardians later destroyed him in his Ascendant realm and used his remaining essence to fashion a weapon with the help of Eris Morn. Many Guardians and civilians were killed in this occupation, and many others were forced to flee in hiding. A noble few who still had a faint connection to the Light were drawn to the European Dead Zone. There, a broken shard of the Traveler provided a connection to the Light, empowering the Chosen few with upgraded powers. While Humanity began to regain territory, the Red Legion utilized their superweapon known as The Almighty and focused this weapon on our Sun. Guardians eventually infiltrated the Almighty and disabled it, although a good portion of Mercury was destroyed. Civilians and Guardians, both lightless and light empowered, led a covert strike against the Cabal occupied city in an effort to retake their city which eventually came down to a showdown against Ghaul, the leader of the Red Legion.
When Ghaul absorbed the power of the Light, the Traveler freed itself from the constraints and destroyed Ghaul. In a pulse of light that stretched throughout the solar system and beyond, the Light was restored to the Guardians. This beacon however triggered a response from the dormant Pyramid Fleet that was waiting somewhere out in the galaxy. The Dark Fleet started its journey to our Solar System.

His ghost Sagira, alongside Ikora Rey, requested that the Guardians follow Osiris. And by doing so, they were able to destroy Panoptes, The Infinite Mind, the main Vex mind that was leading the assault. In pursuit of an old Vanguard signal coming from inside the Infinite Forest, it was discovered that legendary Titan Saint-XIV was laid to rest by the Vex after a fierce battle. With the assistance of Queen’s Guard officer Petra Venj, the Guardians were able to pursue and eliminate Uldren and his eight Barons. The pursuit itself led the Guardians to the Tangled Shore and later the Awoken Dreaming City, one of their most sacred places. Petra and the Guardians discover that Mara Sov, Queen of the Awoken, did not perish at the hands of Oryx, The Taken King during the Dreadnaught assault at Saturn and has been slowly preparing for a much greater war. She opened the gates to their sacred land. Petra ordered a team of six to enter the heart of the city to slay Riven of a Thousand Hearts, the last known Ahamkara and now taken by Hive God Savathûn. Unfortunately, when the Guardians destroyed Riven and her heart, she cursed the city on a time-warped cycle that has yet to be vanquished. To this day, the Awoken are on a time cycle of three weeks and are doomed to repeat whatever events occurred within that cycle. Guardians attempted to destroy Savathûn’s daughter, Dul Incaru in the hopes to break the cycle but it only added to the effect.
